George Carlin – Some Favorite Quotes

I stumbled upon this guy this morning online, and he has some great sayings:

“If a movie is described as a romantic comedy, you can usually find me next door playing pinball.”
…Agreed.

“By and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth.”
Ahh yes, so many people fall into the truth of this.

“Isn’t it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do ‘practice’?”
hehe

“What year did Jesus think it was?”

“In America, anyone can become president. That’s the problem.”
bah haha

“Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself.”
This would solve a lot of my personal problems. Though, if everyone did keep it to themselves and only one person was right, it would suck. Just imagine though, every single person, isolated from everyone else would think they were correct, and the only one going to be saved or something. Wait, that sounds like some people I know.

“Just think, right now as you read this, some guy somewhere is gettin’ ready to hang himself.”

“‘Meow’ means ‘woof’ in cat.”

“What was the best thing before sliced bread?”
Cavewomen?

“Ever notice that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, but anyone going faster is a maniac?”
This one is one of my favorites…it just implies that “chill out” lifestyle. Don’t worry, just go with the flow, you know? Sit back and smell the coffee.

School is in 2 days. I’m excited. More Later. Peace Out.

  1. Maggie says:

    mmmmm coffee.
Iced coffee is better, though, when it’s 500000000 degrees outside.
