Happy new year everyone! Sorry its been a couple days since an update, but the time has come.
Yesterday, I actually did something…actually…A LOT. First, at 10.00am I picked up Amy, and she came over, to meet my cousins and everyone. It was like a typical family get together, plus Amy!, which was totally awesome. I think I had more fun than if she hadn’t of been there. It was especially funny, becuase my youngest cousin that is like 4 or 5, really liked Amy, and ended up following her around everywhere the rest of the day.
Anyway at 4.00pm-ish, I took Amy home, and then went to a wedding at my church. I think it was the first new years eve wedding I’ve ever been to. After the wedding, I joined Amy again, but this time at her house, from 7pm till 12.45am-ish. I know, really off my sleep schedule!!……I’m a bad boy. So while at Amy’s we played board games, talked, ate and did some fireworks. So that was all really fun. We also came up with some resolutions…at least Amy and I did…I didn’t really hear anyone else’s.
So this is pretty much the first time I’ve really decided to have a resolution. Maybe it is becuase as I get older and more mature? haha, I seem to notice more things about me that could be better. So here is what I have come up with.
- Rely on the computer less…and get off my butt. This is a big one for me…probably the biggest. I people don’t realize…I use the computer for blogging, helping people on the Pearl Drummers Forum, listening to all my music, playing music for playing the drums to, watching online drum lessons, school work, geek stuff (like clicking through all me favorite links, ten times a day, checking for the slightest update anywhere), etc. I feel tethered down by the computer. Like sometimes my mom will ask if I want to go over to the neighbor’s or something and I usually refuse, becuase I’m going pointless stuff on the computer.
- Gain some muscle and weight. Yes, I’m unhealthily underweight, according to my doctor. And no matter how much you girls out there wish you could weigh what I weigh or whatever, stop whishing….becuase it is not good. According to my doctor, I could comfortably gain twenty to thirty pounds, and still end up in the mid range weight for my height. So, going along with my first resolution, I’m going to try to get off my butt, away from the computer or whatever, and workout a bit, eat a healthy snack, etc. I need to gain weight! I feel like I could fly away in a big wind gust or something!
- Overall, treat everyone better. I realize that sometimes I’m a bit harsh (when I’m not playing around), and a bit demanding sometimes. I’m going to try to just be nicer, and go with the flow of things before setting my mind to what I think should happen. I’m sure some people know what it’s like to be in front of a “demanding or urging David” and I always regret being like that. So it’s a resolution.
- Do everything possible to get my brother back. Don’t really want to explain this…but a few people may know what I’m talking about. Contact me if you REALLY want to know.
So those are my resolutions. I hope everyone has a great 2006, full of joy and prosperity!
Thanks for reading!

Dang, brotha, I thought you might have something like ‘I will try to come to youth forum sometimes…’
But ah, alas, I am again being rather quixotic in my requests. Maybe I should get off my spaceship and return to Earth.
Good luck with the last two. 🙂

That sounds like fun. Yes, I would suggest you get off the computer and hop on the weights…I need to do some of that too. But not because I’m underweight…track season’s coming up, and I plan on kicking some serious boo-tayy.
Yeah, a visit from David at Youth Forum would be quite the celebration….you carry around you such a convivial aura, and your qi is in need of some balancing. Now, if you’d been at youth forum, you’d understand. Mwahahaha. Feel the power.

Sometimes, I’d give money to be underweight.
Sometimes.
