Check out this audio file that I made today.
[audio:dunno%20yet.mp3]I spent about 45 minutes making it up and recording it. I really like it, though it is just some rough messing around that I could record drums to and stuff. I don’t have any lyrics for it, but I seem to have trouble writing them… Perhaps it’s becuase I never really have, and don’t seem to have many explicit emotions I want to write down???? I really don’t know? Help here would be greatly appreciated 😉

dude! I like it! I envy you because you’re a drummer but yet you still came up with something on the guitar cooler than anything I’ve done. Yeah but I really think it sounds good. We should put it to use. Give me the desired mood/subject for lyrics and I’ll get to writing!
Very good mix of notes and chords together. Is that on a new guitar you got recently? Sounded kind of dark and mysterious – probably will turn into a song about lost love???? Isn’t that what most songs are about?

i don’t know if my lyrics are any good. but when i do write them, i think of three things: where I am, where I was when I was prompted to write a song, and what I last read. i can usually think of something from that. -katie
