So I was browsing deviantart.com the other day, and came across “Line Rider,” a cool little program. You can draw lines and have a little guy on a sled go around on them. Here are some awesome videos of ones people made. I couldn’t get mine near as good!!
Also, I was glancing around, and stumbled upon this nice little tutorial: How to Wake Up Without an Alarm Clock. I’ve alway found the idea quite intriguing. Go to sleep and think to yourself “I want to wake up at 6.30. Haha, if only it were that easy. You have to establish a nice little routine of going to sleep at the same time and waking up at the same time, which I may be able to do once marching season is over.
School has been good. I have one concern though. AP Physics…I have a good grade (87%), and am enjoying it, but this current chapter we’re working on is just sort of flying by me. I guess it would be smart to go work on it instead of sitting here writing on my website? haha, oh well. I’ll get to it…eventually.
Comment me. THanks!!!!
My body does get into that routine. Whenever we have a day off of school, I still wake up at 6:30ish, whether or not my alarm is set. It’s kind of annoying, really, when I’m trying to sleep in (what an American complaint). But it is amazing how the mind can control the body. In fact, our minds are simply amazing. So amazing, that I think everyone should read, Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, by Malcolm Gladwell.
Anyway, happy AP Physics-ing! 🙂
Man, that’s the worst thing about school; going to bed early, and waking up early. I keep trying to make sure that I get atleast 8 hours of sleep, but I always slack off and get less. It’s just the worst getting 6 to 7 hours of sleep and then waking up at 6 in the morning with that screaming alarm. I’m so tired in the mornings sometimes I just feel like skipping school just to sleep in.
Wow! That’s pretty crazy Heather; getting into a routine and waking up around 6:30 on the weekends. I sleep literally till like 12 or 1 on days off. If I did get into a routine, and started automatically waking up at 6 in the morning without an alarm clock, I still wouldn’t do it. I’d be too paranoid about sleeping in accidentally. I wonder if I got 9 or 10 hours of sleep every night, if I would wake up on school mornings energetic instead of tired?
My optimum is about 8 hours. Unfortunately, I rarely get that. I average about sixish. But I’m okay with it. The discomfort from fatigue is quite bearable and something I’m willing to live with. 🙂
So I definatly wake up no later than 6 o’clock even when I try to. Ha.
One thing that I didn’t mention…if the organ dealio doesn’t work out…would be some sort of historian. Art, music, architechture…not as cool, but maybe an agreeable alternative. Or a poet, once I learn about them in English.
Dead Poet’s Society! You missed it. Reminded me how amazing that movie actually is…

I spelled definately wrong.
too bad for me that the government is pushing math and science…this whole electron-level-mabob in adv chem is driving me crazy.
i want to wake up at 6:30. that sounds good. not 5:30. 🙁
we missed you at movie night…but i know you’re just as busy as i am.
i’ve resolved to try out for piano in jazz band next year. aren’t you proud. hah.

HEY!
What was the email address on that flier I sent you….there may be a problem. Send email asap if possible.
Thanks.
I’m responding to Heather:
You mean to tell me that you get around 6 hours of sleep and automatically get up at around 6:30 in the morning; that doesn’t make since to me.
That means I usually don’t get to sleep until around 12 to 12:30ish. (sixish hours…) And yeah: often on saturdays when I don’t have debate, I still wake up around 6:30. And it’s “sense”, not “since”… 🙂
Those are totally awesome. I wanted to tell everyone about this awesome site called wherethehellismatt.com when you get to the main page click on the dancing box on the menu bar. after this pick which dance to watch and then enjoy. both are really really good.
Heather:
Uh, ya, I knew that (sense not since), I just wasn’t paying attention; that’s embarrasing!
Kodi: it happens. I make up words sometimes. “integritous” for one. (meaning, of high integrity) It’s not really a word. At least “since” is a real word. 🙂
