Choir Section Change, and “ooooohh Fletcherized!”

Today is the first monday of Febuary. This marks a wonderful time of the year. It’s so nice to have school bogging you down, eating away at you life. HA.

I think the only good thing about Febuary has got to be the Day of St. Valentines. Yep. For all you lovebirds out there. Oh!, but I just remembered that Febuary is also black history month! Thats even better! Let us have a moment of silence…………………

yadda yadda. The past few weeks have trickled by…actually rushed by. Last thing I knew, I was at Miqra reading da Holy Scripture!!! But yes, that past few weeks have also been interesting. Take for example, choir. It’s been pretty fun. Actually the first week or so was really fun, and it’s slowly gone downhill. I think now that I’m in the group, and realize that there are a lot of people in the class that don’t exactly care about singing, I’m getting a little irritated. I thought there was mixed chorus, then concert choir, then Choraliers. That is correct. And, I also thought you had to have the directors permission to enter concert choir? Yes, correct also! Then why did Mr. Doole let in a whole bunch of “no-care-ers”?!?!?? ARGH. Enough ranting. Another interesting tid-bit from choir… Last week, Amy finally came to the edge of her section, to sit next to me at the end of the tenor section, and I could tell she was getting more confident and such with her singing, and not being shy around me (WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!, IN MY OPINION). Well, Mr. Doole went around, and asked the basses to sing a really low note, and it turns out that my flexible voice can hit that note, so he wants me as a bass now. YES!!! I’m a bass!!! But, NO!!! No more sitting by Amy. Mixed emotions…as one should be able to see.

Yes yes. Two weeks ago Ryan and I got a warning from Fletch, because of our “disruptions” in Independant Study, which was interesting. I guess I didn’t listen close enough, becuase last Friday I got a discipline referral from her. Now don’t look at me and say “Ahh David got a D.R., he is EVIL” becuase, really, actually, frankly, I’m not. I guess, caught in the situation, I didn’t realize when Billy’s, Fletch’s, and my conversation turned from a “discussion” to an “argument” and when my “talking”  turned to “talking back.” So after Billy and I backed down on our “argumentativeness” we went to reading. And of course, within a few minutes, I was very quietly giggling to myself about an inside joke between Billy and I…and I decided to write it down, and pass it to Billy. “I love Billy’s Willy” is what it said (long story). And so we burst out in quiet laughter, appearently catching the attention of Heather and Betsy (other friends) and Fletch. Fletch didn’t like this, so she asked for the note…and then proceeded to staple it to a D.R. slip. Ahh yes, I felt a plethora of emotions. “What is she doing?” “We weren’t that loud” “I wonder what the principle will think of the note?” SOOO, LOONG story short: ever since Fletch made the D.R. two days ago, I haven’t heard from the office about it. One of the following may be true:

  1. She dicided not to turn it in (likely)
  2. The office hasn’t gotten to it yet (very unlikely), or
  3. The office didn’t take it seriously. (likely)

End of Fletch story for now.BOOK TALK TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finished Left Behind a few days ago, I was pretty suprised at how obvious it is that you need to read a second book. I thought perhaps, like most sequels, the first book had been recieved well by readersl, and the writer decided to take the story and run with it, tacking on books for sales or something. But no, the end obviously points to a sequel. NOW WHY on earth would they make it so blatantly obvious, and not include the second book glued to the back of the first one?! or taped?! or stapled?! or packaged in a nice little Left Behind Series Tote Bag?!?!? It’s quite frustrating. So now I have to wait a few days until I get number 2 in the mail from the library. Argh. I’m also waiting on God’s Debris. I explain that some other time.

That’s about how life is right now. Thank you VERY MUCH for reading my entry! Feel free to leave a comment or something of that fashion! Thanks!

I’m pretty sure I have a copy of number two, Tribulation Force… I may bring it to school tomorrow…

If you or anyone else reading this consider yourself a prayer warrior, please pray for a friend of mine whom I am witnessing to- the Lord is starting to work on his heart, but I still sometimes need the right words to say…

Speaking of Left Behind, I was watching the 9/11 conspiracy video, and it got me thinking… What in the world is the world going to do when Jesus comes back and all the true Christians are suddenly gone? Can you imagine the heinous things that will ensue? And that’s even before the rise of the Anti-Christ and the tribulation… And to think, we don’t know how much longer we have to witness to people: Jesus could come back at this very second, and we aren’t guaranteed even our next breath: our life on this earth could end at any moment and our unsaved loved ones would be left behind. The urgency is overwhelming, and the uncertainty of souls gives me that feeling like when your heart and stomach drop and your face gets hot as your brow and hands break out in a cold sweat because you know time is running out and there’s nothing you can do to slow it down… Holy cow.

Wow I would say that you need to stop thinking about things like that Heather. If you think that way then you can’t feel that great. I know that if I always thought about the world ending, and never being able to see certain people, then I would be depressed all the time.

Coolness song. Love the meter changes…they make things exciting. I love how different the stuff on my MP3 is. I have like Colplay and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (indie rock…too quiet for you 🙂 ..) and then I have The Mars Volta and then like My Morning Jacket (alt/indie country for lack of a better expression) and then Tool and then Yo-Yo Ma.
Speaking of Yo-Yo Ma…If you are at all into world percussion, I have a totally awesome CD with this thing called the Silk Road Ensemble…So many fantasic instruments and voices and Yo-Yo Ma plays with them. It’s all Asian, like the real cultural stuff. Sweetness.
Give me a holla on Sunday if you want the CD. Laterrr
