Pres Bush – Take the Poll and Comment

My answer is no.

President Bush needs to get his head out of his butt. He needs to realize he was wrong. Going to Iraq, may be somewhat justified by “We took out Saddam” or whatever. But initially it was wrong. Bush lied about the weapons and all those goodies. Over 2,000 have sacrifice their lives, and he hasn’t apologized. I’m not saying I don’t support our troops…I’m saying Bush is dumb.

President Clinton made his mistakes, Bush Sr. made his, and all other presidents before did as well. I wish George would be a bit less perfect, and apologize. He may win back a lot of people that he has against him right now, including myself.

What do you all think?

EDIT – Polls aren’t working right now. Just comment.

Yea. I hate the Bush administration but Bush didn’t know anything. Some of his administration lied.

I think Bush is an idiot but NOT for GOING in to Iraq. He did the right thing based on the information GIVEN TO HIM. The information given to him was LATER proven innacurrate. It wasn’t really his fault.

I find fault with his lack of desire or motivation to do something about it now… like actually form an exit stratey.

I agree with Cole to an extend. I agree about the part that its not his fault he was given false info and some of his administration lied, which is kind of concerning considering they are supposed to be his most trusted officials and they are supposed to always be on the up-and-up. Anyway, I think part of the reason we are in the war in the first place is because Americans always have been afraid of regimes like Sadaam Husseins and communism and so they strive to destroy all things they see that treaten a chance for a democratic republic. Doing so, the Bush administration has been able to re establish a government in Iraq and i think we will start to see ourselves being pulled out of the war as power is given back to the Iraqis, granted this will not happen overnight and will be very gradual but it is an exit strategy in itself.

Plus, if we simply pulled out now what would that say about those who have already given their lives, would they have died in vain? In addition the country would end up as it was before, run by the minority of Iraqis, not the majority. This is contributed to the main problem the insurgents have with the US being in Iraq. They do not totally understand the ideal of a democracy and dont think they will get equal representation and therefore are against its instatement.

And finally, it is very easy for us to sit here and say “Oh, why didnt you do this?” or “Why havent you done this?” when in reality we have absolutely no idea what it is like for the President. It is an enormous amount of pressure to be the President of the most powerful country in America, everything you do will be srutinized and put under a microscope.

    Anyway…….
i guess thats all I really have to say. Peace out homies!
    Love and God Bless

I agree with that Hallie. I don’t think now or even the near future maybe is the right time to pull out… my problem is is that I’ve seen no effort by the Bush administration to work out that schedule which is disturbing…

  4. maggie says:

bush is a loser. to be frank. he needs to listen to the american public and get out of iraq. we’re a democracy for a reason. he sees the information about the popularity surveys. he can do something about it.

  5. David says:

You guys keep talking about Bush’s advisors.

He chose them when he became President right?

    …So his fault….

  6. Hallie says:

I think we have seen Bush start to put some plans into action…one being with the Iraq elections that were held. The Iraqis have the government in their hands now although we still have to be there to make sure it is in their hands.

Yes Bush chose his own advisors but there is no possible way for him to have forseen them lying to him like they did. It wasn’t his fault. Just like if you were to trust someone with a secret, you obviously wouldnt expect them to tell the whole world, so would it be your fault for trusting them with such valuable info in the first place or for them blabbing to everyone???

  7. katie says:

well, i mean he chose his advisors, but they had wrong information too.

i mean, not saying that i like how bush has been dealing with stuff. i would rather have someone else.

but think about all the pressure he’s under, i know this sounds stupid, but walk in his shoes for a second….

yes, i don’t agree with the way he’s dealt with new orleans or iraq, but i don’t think people should be insulting him all the time. imagine if you or someone you know was president and they weren’t doin such a good job, would you want people dissing them all the time?

but, i will give you that his english skills are crap. and his new orleans dealings-with were crap. and iraq was a mistake.

i saw a great movie last night.

  8. Cole Mickens says:

Quite honestly though. I can’t think of anything GOOD that Bush has done. Throguh out his term he has created / enacted / and done … stupid policies/stuff.

He has been an awful president. Katrina, Iraq, and other policies and laws but I’ll not go into all that….

    Rove…? anyone? eh?

  9. maggie says:

Good point- I can’t think of anything good he HAS done. It’s not just his dealings with Iraq and Katrina, either- he’s limited foreign policy in terms of that energy conservation thing a year ago- the US didn’t sign it, and it was all for using renewable energy sources and other stuff. I can’t remember all of it, but it would have made a lot of difference in the world.
I got new set sticks…Pro-Mark Japan Oak 5A. Ahhh…so light, but not shallow. I looked at awesome cymbals at Supersonic- hahahaha I’ve been turned into a fanatic. ha ha ha ha
